IMVAMUNE VACCINE APPOINTMENTS TO PROTECT AGAINST MPOX

Mpox vaccine is offered in two-dose series.

Eligibility:

  • Two-spirit people, transgender people, or cisgender males, who also self-identify as belonging to the gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men community

AND at least 1 of the following:

  • Have had sex with more than one partner;
  • Have had sex with a partner who has more than one partner;
  • Have had a confirmed sexually transmitted infection acquired in the last year;
  • Have had casual sex (e.g. cruising);
  • Have sex with sex workers.

OR at least 1 of the following:

  • Sexual partners of individual who meet the above criteria;
  • Sex workers;
  • Staff or volunteers in sex-on-premises venues;
  • Those who engage in sex tourism;
  • Individuals who anticipate experiencing any of the above scenarios;
  • Canadian health care professionals travelling to support the mpox clade I outbreak in countries where there is a level 2 travel health notice for mpox;
  • Individuals with history of smallpox vaccine receipt in childhood can now be offered TWO-DOSES instead of only one as previously recommended.

If you are eligible for Imvamune, you may be eligible to receive HPV (up to 26 years of age), Hepatits A, and Hepatitis B vaccines at no charge. You can request these vaccines at the same time as your appointment for Imvamune.
